Left to right. Lil bro, Me, Mom, and my beautiful girl

Charm [is] deceitful and beauty [is] passing, But a woman [who] fears the LORD, she shall be praised. -Proverbs 31:30 (NKJV)

Mom, you’re awesome! Thank you for all of your awesome support over the years. You’ve listened to me talk about video games and movies for hours. You even went the extra mile and took the time to try and understand what they are about. I mean how many mom’s know what the triforce is? You’re the coolest.

Making sure lil bro and I got to see Spider-Man 2 opening night was a priority to you. I had talked about it since shortly after Spider-Man 1, and you made sure to make it happen. You always have cared about that stuff.

You’re the type of mom that would fight through 300 Spartans just to make sure that you got the “golden cartridge” for Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64 for big bro and I, and don’t think I’ve forgotten about the time you found the Jim Carey Riddler action figure. That thing was the rarest!

You made sure I tried sports as a kid, but when you realized that I was more into art you happily accepted that. You always made sure I had a drawing pad and pens (G2 brand of course).

God used you to help me get into shape. I was obese, but I prayed, and you were  encouraging about going on long bike rides in the morning. Now working out is one of my most prominent hobbies.

Most importantly you always prayed, took us to church, and made a point to thank Jesus for blessings on a regular basis. How much has that made a difference in my life? I can’t fit that answer on the entire internet.

You encouraged all of the biggest hobbies in my life. You helped show me how to treat a lady (and now that I’m older I know how to treat mine).

You helped me to know and love God more.

…and you still do.

I love you mom,
