Welcome to Gamerfaith!

Who Is the Blog Author?

Hi everybody, my name is Caleb! I love God! Some of my hobbies are writing, playing games, and watching movies. I’ve come a long way in my life, and it’s all thanks to God. I used to be obese, cripplingly insecure, and depressed. This depression led me down a road to rebellion, and I found myself struggling with many different forms of sinful behavior. At my lowest points I cried out to God for help, and over the years I’ve seen His power and generosity. An indescribable change has taken place in my heart.

My relationship with Jesus Christ has changed my life in a remarkable way. My heart has leveled up, and I want to help other people to experience the joy and purpose that is found in an intimate relationship with God.

Why “Gamer” faith?

I’m not here to bash my beliefs on anybody’s head, to fight anyone, or to hate. God has helped me, and I want to help others.

Proverbs 27:17 (KJV): Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

I’m not perfect, so always measure what I say. Meaning, listen to what God says. If what I say doesn’t match up, then kindly disregard it and let me know. Community is important.

Why “gamer” faith? After years of struggling with trying to be the type of man that I thought I should be (after many hard lessons) I finally accepted that I’m supposed to be the me that God made. I’m me for a reason, and the things that God put in my heart are there for a reason. The same goes for you. Fulfill the purpose that God made you for. Do it for the right reasons though.

Matthew 6:1 (KJV): Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

I like games and movies. It’s no secret. So why not use the things I find interesting as tools to learn more about God?

What Is Gamerfaith’s Goal?

You can read our full mission statement here!

Gamerfaith’s goal is to encourage individuals to level up their hearts by loving God and loving others.

Gamerfaith is not undermining the importance of God. It is important to realize that the games and movies we watch are often based off of fiction. The things we see in them are flawed and unrealistic. God has no flaws, He is our perfect Creator, He is real, and our Lord is relevant.

Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) ”But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God is infinitely more important than games and movies.  In this generation games and movies are massively popular and widely discussed. This blog is not attempting to enhance, spice up, or change God’s word. The goal is to use the media we enjoy as an arrow that points back to the monumentally more important truths that God has already established.

Here’s a life changing truth:

Through Christ we gain the opportunity to have a new life. We can die to our old ways and be born again. Gamerfaith is all about taking the extra life that Jesus offers us. Gamerfaith is also about using that extra life to serve and love.

Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to message me anytime!
